Package: tcl8.3-dev
Version: 8.3.3-7
Severity: normal
Tags: security
I've been statically linking my application against libtcl, using
g++-3.2 as my linker, and I get these error messages:
/usr/lib/libtcl8.3.a(tclUnixPipe.o): In function `TclpCreateTempFile':
tclUnixPipe.o(.text+0xe8): the use of `tmpnam' is dangerous, better use
`mkstemp'
Presumably this means that all applications which use Tcl 8.3 and make
temporary files have a fundamental security flaw.
