Which doesn't make it correct :-) - you just didn't notice before that it was
broken. Well, until recently it was highly unlikely that lenny-volatile had a
newer version than squeeze because packages would migrate from unstable into
squeeze and lenny-volatile mostly only got packages uploaded once they had lived
in unstable/testing for a while.

Given squeeze is frozen, such migration doesn't happen anymore (automatically).
Hence it happened that lenny-volatile got newer versions than those sitting in
squeeze/testing. We will try to get newer versions into squeeze, but that will
take several more days.

There are at least two options for you to (a) get newer clamav packages and (b)
make them work on your system:

- Download the binary packages from unstable and install them.
- Download the source packages from unstable or lenny-volatile, rebuild them,
  and install those.

Both options should give you a pretty fine workaround. Oh, yes, and please fix
your sources.list :-)

Best,
Michael

PS.: Closing this bug, it's not a bug in clamav packages.
