Package: libgphoto2-2
Version: 2.1.3-1
Severity: normal
the sony DSC P-12 camera is not listed as supported.
this camera is relatively new, and is identical to the
other cameras except that its firmware revision is one
up (usb sub-device 0x450 instead of usb sub-device 0x440).
related information:
the latest kernel - 2.4.22-1-686 - supports the 0x450 sub-device.
HOWEVER, BEWARE!
due to some silly idiot saying "i modified 0x440 to 0x450 in
unusual_devs.h and it worked for me", all the Sony DSC cameras
EXCEPT the latest ones with the new firmware (like the P-12)
have been STOPPED from being recognised in the 2.6.0 and 2.4.22
kernels.
