Package: nvidia-glx
Version: 1.0.8756-4

amarok, xmms, vlc, and mplayer to name a few. for example, i ran an
strace with vlc and the last shared object that gets loaded prior to
segfaulting is /usr/lib/libnvidia-tls.so.1

note that i'm currently using the Xorg nv driver due to another bug with
the non-free nvidia (version 1.0.8756-4) driver that is causing the system to
crash.

uninstalling nvidia-glx causes the previously mentioned apps to work
again.

Since we haven't heard from the submitter since we asked for more information
a few months ago, I assume the problem does no longer exist and I'm closing
this report now.
If the problem is still reproducible with current driver versions (195.36.31-6
in testing/unstable or 260.19.21-1 in experimental), feel free to reopen this
bug report.
