Package: nvidia-glx-legacy-96xx
Version: 96.43.07-2
Severity: important
This problem is repeatable with 2 applications: kbarcode and korganizer.
Both applications work in the predictable way on another X server (neomagic
driver on a Thinkpad 600E). The problem also manifests itself when attempting
to copy text from kterms, one mouse click moving forward/backward in a line
invariably selects the whole line.
On the nvidia accelerated server left mouse button click and drag has the
same effect as a left mouse button double click. Both applications pop
up a window in the latter case, and also (incorrectly) when doing a click
and drag, making the click and drag operation impossible. This operation
should resize fields in both applications.
To eliminate the possibility of real spurious events, xev confirms that the
correct events (not duplicated) are sent when clicking and dragging on
the xev window. If the events are somehow doubled internally, it doesn't
show in the xev window.

This bug was reported against very old version of the NVIDIA legacy-96xx
driver. A few months ago we asked for testing the current driver version, but
so far we haven't got a reply. Therefore I assume the problem does no longer
occur and I'm closing this report now.
If you can still reproduce the problem with the current legacy-96xx driver
version (96.43.18-2 in testing/unstable) and kernel and Xorg from testing or
unstable, feel free to reopen this bug report.
