Package: swingwt
Severity: wishlist
It would be great if swingwt was compiled using gcj-3.4 instead of
gcj-3.3 which is apparently the case now. gcj-3.3 doesn't support recent
(very nice) java API additions (such as String.split(regexp), etc.),
whereas gcj-3.4 does.
Currently, compiling applications with gcj-3.4 while linking with
swingwt results in the following error:
/usr/bin/ld: warning: libgcj.so.4, needed by
/usr/lib/gcc/i486-linux/3.4.2/../../../../lib/libswingwt.so, may
conflict with libgcj.so.5
which results in the following error, when running the application:
libgcj failure: Duplicate class registration:
java.awt.peer.ComponentPeer
zsh: abort ./mlmmjadm
