Hi,
In Debian sid's repository, the 0.1 branch of libusb is currently
using the legacy implementation. The libusb has released a wrapper,
named libusb-compat, to enable software and libraries which didn't
make the step yet (like python-usb) to still use 0.1 API's to talk to
libusb 1.0.
The issue is that the legacy implementation of libusb-0.1 doesn't
export the "location" field for usb busses (which gives the number of
the USB bus the device is connected on), which should be exported by
python-usb. So, on Python's side it's seen as 0. After upgrading to
libusb-compat, everything is fixed.
Do you have any plans to update to libusb-compat ?
