Package: ssvnc
Version: 1.0.27-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

Using ssvnc to listen for a UVNC Single-Click reverse connection ('helpdesk')
from a Windows machine (XP, Vista and 7 tested), if the ssvnc viewer option
-acceptpopupsc is true, the vncviewer is not started.

When the incoming connection is detected, the following text appears in the
ssvnc terminal window:

===== start of terminal text quote =====
Proto: RFB 003.016

Setting RFB version to 3.3 for UltraVNC Single Click.

Reset RFB version to 3.16 for UltraVNC SSVNC_ACCEPT_POPUP_SC.

Connected to RFB server, using protocol version 3.16

[at this point the ssvnc message pop-up appears; the 'Accept' button is
selected.]

Accepting connection.

Security-Type: 1 (rfbSecTypeNone)  Latency: 4.18 ms
No VNC authentication needed
===== end of terminal text quote =====

The vncviewer window does not appear; the vnc connection does not seem to be
established (the Single-Click icon on the Windows machine does not change
colour).

If the -acceptpopupsc option is not set, the reverse connection is established
correctly.

If ssvnc v1.0.26 is used, the connection cannot be established: the symptoms
are the same as v1.0.27.

If ssvnc v1.0.25 is used, or if just the vncviewer from ssvnc v1.0.25 is used,
the
connection can be established with the -acceptpopupsc option set.

Thus, v1.0.25 seems to be the last working version in this respect.

[Note: the same behaviour is apparent using the pre-built binaries from the
ssvnc website, so I don't think this is a Debian problem, but there doesn't
seem to be an upstream bug reporting facility.]

The following are the non-default settings from the ssvnc profile file:

port=5900
proxyhost=
proxyport=
disp=:0

Description:
 ssvnc - Enhanced TightVNC viewer with SSL/SSH tunnel helper
Closes: 592873
Changes:
 ssvnc (1.0.28-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * New upstream release (Closes: #592873, "Connection from UVNC
     Single-Click does not start vncviewer when -acceptpopups is set").
   * Convert to source format 3.0 (quilt), changing /bin/sh into /bin/bash
     (see below) in the install target instead.
   * debian/copyright: Update years of copyright; remove notice that the
     UltraVNC DSM helper module is not included (which it is since
     1.0.24-1).
   * Remove redundant bash dependency; bash isn't going to be non-essential
     any time soon.
   * Up Standards-Version to 3.9.1.
