Package: alsa-base
Version: 1.0.23+dfsg-1
Severity: wishlist

Alsa is far too complicated to set up with multiple devices. It should "just work" with all devices available (including hot plugged devices) and whether they use module or compiled into kernel drivers. All inputs should be mixed into a single stream which is then output to all output devices simultaneously leaving the user to use alsamixer to select which devices they want to use.
