Package: mpc
Version: 0.19-2
Severity: important
Tags: squeeze
The mpc version in squeeze 0.19-2 does not have playlist numbers when listing
the playlist with "mpc playlist"
Example output:
$ mpc playlist |grep -i band
Big Band Swing - Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree
George Gershwin - Strike Up the Band Overture
Big Band Swing - Smoke Gets In Your Eyes
Big Band Swing - These Foolish Things
Big Band Swing - Polka Dots And Moonbeams
Big Band Swing - Tuxedo Junction
Big Band Swing - I'll Never Smile Again
If I downgrade to mpc 0.12.1-1 and run the same command again:
mpc playlist |grep -i band
11) Big Band Swing - Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree
52) George Gershwin - Strike Up the Band Overture
72) Big Band Swing - Smoke Gets In Your Eyes
117) Big Band Swing - These Foolish Things
192) Big Band Swing - Polka Dots And Moonbeams
265) Big Band Swing - Tuxedo Junction
285) Big Band Swing - I'll Never Smile Again
I get the playlist number and could now play any of the songs with "mpc play #"

Hi,
please use something like: mpc -f '%position% %artist% - %title%' playlist.
As the output is fully configurable I don't see a bug here - so I close this
now. If you disagree please reopen the bug.
Alex
