Package: base-files
Version: 6.1
Severity: minor

The package base-files contains the file '/usr/share/base-files/motd.md5sums'.
I think this file ether outdated and needs an update or obsolete and therefore a
candidate for removal.

It's used by postinst to update /etc/motd in certain cases, so I don't
consider it to be obsolete.

I don't want to remove that functionality because /etc/motd might
change in the future again, and it does not make any harm.
