1. Make sure no pcscd is running (just kill it if needed)
2. start pcscd as "sudo pcscd --foreground --debug --apdu"

Bye

was a gpg --card-status ; trying to use the auth-key for ssh ; gpg
--card-status in another terminal

gpg just hangs, no ouotput.

I do not see any error in the pcscd log.

there's some brabel in .gnupg/gpg-agent.log:

/=====================
2011-02-24 10:44:44 gpg-agent[6897] failed to unprotect the secret key: Bad
passphrase

\=====================

It looks like the problem is on the gnupg side.

I will try to play with my GPG card. But I only have a V1 card and you
have a V2 [1] card.

I tried with pcsc-lite 1.7.0 I just uploaded to unstable.
I can't reproduce the problem with my OpenPGP card.

The problem, if any, is on the GnuPG side (according to your logs).
Closing the bug.

Bye
