Package: slapd
Version: 2.4.11-1
Severity: minor
Hello,
in Lenny's version of slapd's configuration file, /etc/ldap/slapd.conf,
there is still a commented statement reading 'schemacheck on'. The
'schemacheck' option is not supported in OpenLDAP 2.4, so if someone
turns it on, eg. because it looks like a good idea to have it, this will
result in error messages. Since OpenLDAP 2.4 always enforces
schemacheck, this statement could be re-worded to alert users of the
fact (the change has caused some uproar on their mailing list), but
otherwise, I suggest that this part of the config file simply gets
deleted in order to avoid confusion.
Kind regards,

The upgrade scripts don't support to remove / comment it out anymore, so this
bug
is merely a left-over from the early days.
Closing bug.
