Hi there,

I have a CanoScan Lide 50 USB 2.0 scanner. Xsane starts up fine, but scanning
doesnt work. Preview scan results in a black preview, "scan slide" almost
doesn't move. During a scan the "scan slide" stops a couple times and tries to
move beyond the end of the scanner.

I deleted .sane in my home directory. Nothing changes. Also the scanner works
fine in other operating systems.

Thx,

Malte

Hi there,

I just tested the current Libsane from Sid (1.0.22-2) and it looks like the Canoscan Lide 50 works once again. I used Apt-Pinning to pull in Xsane and Libsane from Sid on AMD64 and performed multiple successful scans.

Thank you,

Malte
