Package: libdnsres-dev
Version: 0.1a-4
Severity: important
The library libdnsres uses libevent internally. However, it doesn't link
against it properly, so no dependency information is available with
'ldd'. Therefore, the Debian package doesn't declare a dependency on
libevent, even though it should.
Beside this, the software seems to be unmaintained upstream and of low
quality, there is no documentation and a plain call to dnsres_gethostbyname()
leads to a crash. So I wonder what its purpose is, since there are already
so many other asynchronous resolvers.
