Package: dash
Version: 0.5.5.1-7.4
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system
While trying to build a live cd image with:
lb config --mode=emdebian
lb build
dash fails to install and therefore blocks the image creation process.
from chroot/deboostrap/deboostrap.log:
Unpacking dash (from .../dash_0.5.5.1-7.4em1_i386.deb) ...
Adding 'diversion of /bin/sh to /bin/sh.distrib by dash'
ln: creating symbolic link `/usr/share/man/man1/sh.1.gz.tmp': No such file or
directory
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/dash_0.5.5.1-7.4em1_i386.deb
(--unpack):
subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
The error is due to the fact that the chroot where the package is being
installed doesn't contain /usr/share/man (it is a EmDebian chroot).

Having looked into this setup in emgrip, it's not useful to retain
empty directories across all possible packages and this can be more
reasonably fixed inside dash or by using the existing support within
multistrap.
