Package: atlas3-base-dev
Version: 3.6.0-20.6
Severity: wishlist

Are you planning to migrate atlas to gfortran? Using gfortran -ff2c
is insufficient for code that mixes the single-precision BLAS/LAPACK
and intrinsics. Intrinsics will return a single in single, and the f2c
ABI returns singles in double. On x86-like platforms, mixing the two
silently produces garbage results.

(Plus, we're likely to start using F90 features in LAPACK. So at some
point gfortran will be necessary.)
