On Debian Lenny I can run music123 in every situation, like root or normnal 
user. On Squeeze works only like user an not in all situations like a machine 
without a DE installed.
For play wav file now I use aplay.

The bug isn't related to music123, but seems to be related to esdplay.
The problem can be reproduced without music123 by direct esdplay use.

music123 users can replay esdplay by aplay in /etc/music123rc or their
~/.music213rc file.
