Package: freeipmi-ipmidetect
Version: 0.7.17~beta2-1
Severity: wishlist
Thanks for packaging freeipmi! Could you include a sample
/etc/ipmidetectd.conf? I'd like
to see some examples of what others are doing with this tool.
BTW I just succeeded in installing Intel's CLI Server Management Utilities --
dpcproxy and
dpccli -- and it would be useful to know whether they interact with freeipmi in
some way.
Configuring ipmi on Debian seems to require membership in a secret society.

You are welcome

it is there in a recent version
I guess you would just need to upgrade to enter the secret society:
$> acpolicy freeipmi-ipmidetect
freeipmi-ipmidetect:
Installed: 0.8.12-2.1
Candidate: 0.8.12-2.1
Version table:
*** 0.8.12-2.1 0

$> dpkg -L freeipmi-ipmidetect | grep ipmidetectd.conf
/etc/ipmidetectd.conf
/usr/share/man/man5/ipmidetectd.conf.5.gz
or just RTFM:
$> dpkg -c freeipmi-ipmidetect_0.7.17\~beta2-1_amd64.deb | grep
ipmidetectd.conf
-rw-r--r-- root/root 1368 2010-06-17 12:54
./usr/share/man/man5/ipmidetectd.conf.5.gz
