Since Amarok2 provides much less functionality (esp there is no Device
support, AFAICS), it would be very nice to allow installing the "old"
and "new" Amarok in parallel.

With removal of KDE 3 libraries from wheezy and sid, this request is
impossible to implement. You should file an RFP for clementine (apparent
successor of amarok 1) instead.
