Package: sympa
Version: 6.0.1+dfsg-2
Severity: normal
I ran into a couple of minor issues with the Sympa 6.0 install on a
Debian system. These messages occur during the sympa .deb package install:
dbconfig-common: writing config to /etc/dbconfig-common/sympa.conf
*** WARNING: ucf was run from a maintainer script that uses debconf, but
the script did not pass --debconf-ok to ucf. The maintainer script
should be fixed to not stop debconf before calling ucf, and pass it this
parameter. For now, ucf will revert to using old-style, non-debconf
prompting. Ugh!
Please inform the package maintainer about this problem.
Also here is another error:
wwslib::load_config() Unknown parameter cookie_cas_expire in
/etc/sympa/wwsympa.conf

Actually, It's not a bug in SYMPA but dbconfig-common.
It seems that you have tried to install the sympa package from squeeze
on lenny but this bug was only fixed in squeeze version of dbconfig-common.
It's no longer a bug.

It's an old parameter which is no longer used in recent versions of
SYMPA. This parameter was probably present in your sympa.conf hence
sympa has emitted this warning during upgrade.
I'm closing this bug (nothing to fix here). Feel free to reopen the bug
if you think that's needed.
Regards,
M.
