Package: hotplug
Version: 0.0.20040329-25
Severity: important

When I try to load ipw2200 module, I get the error it can't load the firmware

There is a tail from syslog:
Sep 13 13:59:33 sandstorm kernel: ipw2200: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915
Network Driver, 1.0.6
Sep 13 13:59:33 sandstorm kernel: ipw2200: Copyright(c) 2003-2004 Intel
Corporation

Sep 13 13:59:33 sandstorm kernel: ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG

Sep 13 13:59:33 sandstorm kernel: ipw2200: ipw-2.3-boot.fw load failed: Reason

Sep 13 13:59:33 sandstorm kernel: ipw2200: Unable to load firmware: 0xFFFFFFFE
Sep 13 13:59:33 sandstorm kernel: ipw2200: failed to register network device
Sep 13 13:59:33 sandstorm kernel: ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:02:04.0
disabled
Sep 13 13:59:33 sandstorm kernel: ipw2200: probe of 0000:02:04.0 failed with
error -5

I have the firmware in /lib/firmware and /usr/lib/firmware and I have the
correct one. The version of ipw2200 module is
1.0.6

I tried to set higher timeout (60,100 and 200) in /sys/cache/firmware and it
does not help. I even tried older versions of
hotplug and also no success. Changing the hotplug from /sbin/udevsend to
/sbin/hotplug does not help either. I read a lot
of bug reports and debates on the web, but I can't seem to find a solution.
