Currently we try to get the key from GConf, then fall back to osssink
(the lowest common denominator, broadly speaking) when that fails; this
behavior is documented in the man page. You have neither python-gnome2
(with the GConf bindings) installed, nor the GStreamer osssink
apparently, so neither option works.
python-gnome2 is recommended. This means you should have it installed
unless you have a good reason not to.
Without python-gnome2 or osssink installed, you need to manually
configure the audio device. How to do this is described on user's guide
on the website, and also in the man page.
