There is no lirc-modules-source anymore, all kernel modules are 
provided by (upstream- and Debian) kernel >= 2.6.36 (>= 2.6.37 required
for 64 bit architectures, which needs lirc >= 0.9~ userspace; some as 
new rc_core based mainline drivers and some still in staging) or 
continue to be covered by userspace drivers..

Read /usr/share/doc/lirc/NEWS.Debian.gz for further information.
