Package: cvs
Version: 1:1.12.9-9
Severity: minor

It seems that "co -d" does not understand path names.

        cvs ... co -d dir ... works
        cvs ... co -d path/to/dir .. gives error

It would be good if cvs made chdir to path/to and then checked out
the sources to DIR. It doesn't see to matter if these paths
exist or not, the error is still the same

path/to if this exists, co error
path/to/dir if this exists, co error

I think cvs should even create the directories named in "-d" if the
did not exist, but I leave this up to the developers.

The message is:

cvs [checkout aborted]: could not change directory to requested checkout
directory `to': No such file or directory
