Hi,
I have a strange problem when entering characters with the Compose key
under X11.
When emacs is started with "emacs -q --daemon", I need to type another key
before the character appears in the window. For example, to enter a
"é", I need to type <Compose> <'> <e> <any key>. Even the Compose key
works for "any key". If I choose another key for "any key", for example
<a>, the "a" appears
When emacs is started normally with "emacs -q", all is working
correctly, even with new frames made with "emacsclient -c". The "é"
appears immediately after releasing the <e> key.
AFAICT, the problem is only apparent with emacs23-lucid, and not with
the Gtk version. But the Gtk version has other (known) problems that
are more annoying for me.
Xev shows the following when pressing the sequence of keys <Compose> <'>
