Package: surfraw
Version: 2.2.7-1
Severity: important

Running [1] without a ~/.surfraw.conf. Opens a new window with the home page.
And get the following message after it runs [2].

Running [1] with ~/.surfraw.conf with
SURFRAW_graphical_browser=/usr/bin/chromium.
Opens a new tab in a current browsing session. But with the following in the
navigation bar: openurl%28http//www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=test) And also get the
following message after it runs [2].

Running [3], works as expected. A new tab is opened in a current browsing
session, with the correct page and results. Note, having ~/.surfraw.conf in
place or not has no affect using this method.

It would be nice if using [1] would just work and not have to use [3] each time
one wants to use surfraw with chromium.

[1] $ sr imdb test
[2] $ Created new window in existing browser session.
[3] $ sr -browser=/usr/bin/chromium imdb test

Thanks

Description:
 surfraw - fast unix command line interface to WWW
 surfraw-extra - extra surfraw search tools with heavy dependencies
Closes: 608967 628683
Changes:
 surfraw (2.2.8-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * New upstream version
     + SURFRAW_graphical_remote defaults to off, as chromium
       doesn't support '-remote openURL()' (Closes: #628683).
   * Move opensearch elvi to main surfraw package.
     It now has an optional mode that uses a redirector
     if the dependencies are not installed.
   * debian/rules:
     + hardcode AWK as awk (Closes: #608967).
     + use dh_prep instead of dh_clean -k.
     + add build-arch and build-indep targets.
   * debian/control:
     + Build-Depends: bump debhelper dependency to (>= 7).
     + Standards-Version: 3.9.2.
     + surfraw-extra: convert Conflicts: to Breaks:.
     + surfraw:
       * Breaks: surfraw-extra (<= 2.2.7-1)
         as we have taken over /usr/lib/surfraw/opensearch.
       * Recommends: surfraw-extra: add version of (>> 2.2.7-1).
       * Tweak Description.
   * debian/source/format: explicitly specify 1.0 source format.
