Package: vlc
Version: 0.8.4-svn20050823-1
Severity: normal
When trying to transcode a file with mp2v or mp1v as video codec, vlc only
plays sound and displays :
[00000381] ffmpeg encoder error: cannot open encoder
[00000370] stream_out_transcode private error: cannot find encoder
The file is viewable with mp4v as video codec.
Apparently, that wasn't corrected in the latest version.

Closes: 324840
Changes:
vlc (0.8.4-svn20050920-1) unstable; urgency=low
.
* New SVN snapshot.
* configure.ac:
+ Upstream fixed the AltiVec build on PPC.
* debian/control:
+ Build-depend on a newer version of libavcodec. mp2v and mp1v encoders
work again (Closes: #324840).
+ Build-depend on gcc-snapshot on i386 and amd64, because currently only
that version of gcc properly builds some of the MMX modules.
