Package: alsa-base
Version: 1.0.23+dfsg-4
Severity: normal

Good evening,

I'm having a problem where audio coming from certain apps is clipping,
cracking and containing large amounts of digital artifacts. For
example, audio coming from webpages such as rdio.com, mog.com (or any
other HTML audio.) This started happening after an update to the
latest packages on unstable/sid. I've been able to reproduce this in
iceweasel, chromium, google-chrome-unstable and epiphany-browser.

What is working fine:

1. Recording and playback with Audacity is fine.
2. Adobe flash audio is fine in those browsers.
3. Rhythmbox and Banshee playback is also fine.

Let me know what other information I can provide to help debug this
further.
