Package: anon-proxy
Version: 00.02.39-7
Severity: important

Current upstream version is 00.05.022, while the debian package in unstable=
=20
is 00.02.39-7! The existing server mixes use newer versions and the=20
latest ones start to be incompatible with the debian version, so for=20
instance with the Dresden chain i get:

New JAP Version! Within the next days a new version of JAP will be=20

hello,

obviously you confounded the Jap client with the commandline mix.
according to the jap homepage the last stable mix version is 00.02.39.

http://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de/develop/sources_en.html:
---snip---
JAP
Daily built snapshot of JAP source code: jap.src.tgz
  Size: 2.2M Bytes
  Version: 00.05.028
Created on: Wednesday, 21-Sep-2005 23:31:04 CEST

[...]

Mixes

CVS module name: proxytest

Last stable source for Version 00.01.xx: mix_V00.01.74.src.tgz
Last stable source for Version 00.02.xx: mix_V00.02.39.src.tgz
---snip---

the problem you discovered has nothing to do with release
incompatiblity. instead the configured mix in the anon-proxy init.d
script has gone away, and another mix has to be used.

my recent non-maintainer upload of 00.02.39-7.1 should have fixed that.
