Package: libcompress-zlib-perl
Severity: wishlist

Hello Matthias,

as of September 6th there is release 1.38 available.

Changes since 1.34 currently in Stable/Testing/Unstable include:

* Use XSLoader when possible, fallback to DynaLoader.
* Fixed problem with where two calls to gzclose would hang the debugger.
* Fixed 05gzsetp -- it left a temp file hanging around.
* Integrate core change 24787 - SvUPGRADE returns void in blead
* Some notes / documentation (but alas, it doesn't cover bug#319146)
* Added libscan to Makefile.PL
* Updated zlib source to 1.2.3 (who cares as you don't link to this)
* various updates for VMS and Symbian (who cares)

Since you appear to be quite busy I could put together a new package
for you to upload or for an NMU as IMHO the XSLoader update is worth
the hassle.

Cheers,
Flo
