Hi,
I'm not really the maintainer, but I tried to take over the package last year
as part of my efforts to maintain scim in Debian. But eventually I had to
realize the futility of that attempt.
* upstream is dead as the previous maintainer mentioned when orphaning the
package
* the package has RC bugs (easy enough to fix, though)
* nobody working on KDE4/QT4 support (#604587)
