How about running the cronjob every day instead of every week? I would
personally want to know as soon as possible if someone rooted my
machine.
So unless it takes a really long time to run rkhunter, I would suggest
that the weekly cronjob be run every day instead.
Also, I would also like to suggest that you add debconf question like the
one in chkrootkit that enables the cronjob with users having to manually
edit a config file.
