Hi,

this is one of these bug reports we all don't wanna see: gnome-shell
somehowdoes things wrong and I don't even know how to describe it
properly. Unfortunately screenshots aren't available because I only get
a black picture whenever I try. I don't know if blaming gnome-shell is
correct anyways, yet it all worked before using it, so here we go...

I use pidgin; when I click on its icon in the panel, the window opens
but it's barely readable since it's kinda, well, sloped. The window's
content is devided into about 3 or 4 parts which are sloped from the
upper right to the lower left, making it impossible to recognize the
icons. A slight movement of the window corrects everything.
The same behavior is reproducable with small windows that pop up, e.g.
to enter the password for the gnome keyring, or to shutdown the
computer. Also context menus are like this (those not devided cause
they're much shorter than the pidgin window), which makes handling the
desktop quite difficult.

Another issue which came up at the same time is a little shift when
scrolling windows, mostly noticable in iceweasel. You scroll a page down
and when you move your mouse curser over links they all jump a bit up or
down. Scrolling just a bit again resolves the problem.

So, give me instructions on how to help, I'm willing to but right now I
don't have the slightest clue. Hope you at least understand what I mean.

Hauke

Hi,

I didn't follow gnome-shell development closely. What I can say though,
is that with current gnome-shell in experimental (3.0.2) my previous
issues are solved. Sorry I don't have proper version info here.

Thanks for taking care of all this!
