Package: xulrunner-9.0
Version: 9.0~a2+20111104042026-1
Severity: wishlist
Hi there!
I was wondering if we can have an unversioned meta-package for
xulrunner.
I tought of that when I upgraded my iceweasel and now I must keep
xulrunner-7.0 or bellow to have tuxguitar package working, since it
depends on that versions of xulrunner. Besides that, the package
xul-ext-adblock-plus must be updated everytime xulrunner is, which
forces one to decide between upgrading browser or removing
adblock-plus.
Thanks in advance.
All of the best, Alexandre

Unfortunately, there are a lot of things that each new version of
xulrunner break, and as such, having a generic "xulrunner" doesn't work.
It's like having a generic "libraw1394" package for libraw1394-11 and
libraw1394-8 (just took a random example). It doesn't work.

It shouldn't be a problem. If it is, then there is something wrong with
addblock-plus itself and/or its package.
