Severity: important
The register in /var/run/utmp is corrupted by ttysnoops
when called from a pseudo-terminal precessor like Telnetd.
The use-case from a virtual terminal, i.e., via /etc/inittab,
is correct, though.
The corresponding behaviour for GNU/kFreeBSD is correct
for both use-cases.
I will rewrite the UTMP code in order to restore the
expected functionality.
