Package: acpi-support
Version: 0.138-9
Severity: minor
The cited behaviour can be seen when a loop is executed in background by
pm-powersave(8). Follows a script that potentially causes it. The script
should be placed at "/etc/pm/power.d" and can be tested with a laptop,
pulling and/or pulling the AC adapter.
Useful info:
Machine: Dell Vostro V13
% acpi_listen #on AC removal; notice that 3 events were triggered.

First of, sorry for the late reply. I missed this bug report completely.
As you say yourself there are three events generated. This is done by your acpi
system and not the fault of acpi-support. Now with three events acpid is
supposed to call the correspoding scripts for each event resulting in the same
script invoked three times. I cannot see how this could be fixed in
acpi-support, unless some of those events are bogus events that are created by
all devices and thus should be ignored in general.
