I tried to start pinpoint with the example presentation, but it crashed
with some Clutter error messages (I used a non-gnome awesome X11
session).
I started it with

Thanks for your feedback. Probably that was a problem with
libgl1-mesa-glx and your hardware/kernel/rest of the system.
