Package: network-manager
Version: 0.6.6-3
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

The system periodically freezes while connected to wired network while
wireless is still enabled (but not connected). The syslog has lots of
wlan0 activitiy right before the freeze happens. Unsure that
network-manager was at fault, I asked on debian-users, and many
confirmed. Apparently, installing wicd corrects - further evidence that
network-manager is at fault.

This bug report seems to reflect several different driver bugs and not a
bug in network-manager.

If a system crashes or hangs, that is a bug in the hardware, firmware or
driver. network-manager doesn't contain drivers.

If either of you are still having problems like this, report a bug on
the kernel package ('reportbug linux-image-$(uname -r)').

Ben.
