--- Begin Message ---Package: aptitude Version: 0.4.4-4 Severity: minor Tags: l10n I just had a look at the German man page for aptitude and noticed lots of errors. Since aptitude does not use po4a (which I am familiar with) I did not provide a patch, though my hints should give you a good start where to look. If you've prepared an updated version I can have another look if you like. Examples: *)Some lines are not translated: APTITUDE(8) aptitude command-line referenc APTITUDE(8) *)Groff commands are often shown verbatim in the man page: Das erste Argument, das nicht mit einem Minus ("\fB-\fR") beginnt, wird \fBinstall\fR *)Wrong quote signs are (often) used: "install"-Befehl aufgelistet werden. Enthält ein Paketname eine (instead of »install«-Befehl) *)Untranslated words are still in the man page, probably a missing spell checker run (sometimes the German word *is* simmilar): Note Author. Please note that I greatly appreciate the translation and recognize, that the translator missed (which is good) lots of common pitfalls in the translation. -- Dr. Helge Kreutzmann [email protected] Dipl.-Phys. http://www.helgefjell.de/debian.php 64bit GNU powered gpg signed mail preferred Help keep free software "libre": http://www.ffii.de/

--- Begin Message ---Hi Helge, Aujourd'hui 11:17:29, Helge Kreutzmann a écrit : > reassign 441613 po4a Please, CC the maintainers of the new package when you reassign a bug report (I had to dig in the BTS and import its mailbox in order to reply to one single mail). > I now read throught the entire bug log. Please, subscribe directly to bug reports you care, there is no way you can expect every contributor to CC the the initial submitter. > Looking at #66 both the wrong quotes as well the untranslated "author" > seems to be po4a issues at first sight, so reassigning. It seems like a docbook-xsl issue actually, since the problem, as far as I understand it, isn't present in the French manpage. Instead of reassigning this longish and mostly unrelated bug report to docbook-xsl, I prefer to simply close it and advise you to properly offer a fix of this issue directly upstream, they are quite responsive (feel free to open a new bug report , mentioning an upstream patch as I did in #594649 if you want to use a Debian tracker for this issue, but reassigning a longish bug report log for a simple issue is not helpful for maintainers. You can anyway point to this bug log to explain the rationale in the new one if needed). Please, look at #594649 and #605696 that document how the issue has been previously fixed in French and Spanish (the last one gives precise advices [1,2] and links to the accurate documents, no need to duplicate them here I guess). 1: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=605696#33 2: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=605696#38 Regards David
