Package: aptitude
Version: 0.2.14.1-2
Severity: normal

When reinstalling a package without an APT source (self-compiled for
example), an error message appears which announces an internal error,
and the user is left at an empty black screen. The q key doesn't work
in this screen, Q and F6 do work though.

I am not able to reproduce this in current versions of aptitude (tested
with lenny, squeeze and wheezy versions), so I assume it has been fixed
long ago. The currently available aptitude versions display an error
dialog box stating that it can't locate the package. This can be
acknowledged by typing <Enter>, but it is also possible to quit aptitude
with 'q'.

Sorry that this bug was left unanswered for so long.
