Package: pdns-server
Version: 2.9.18-3
Severity: normal

Hi,

The postinst script for pdns-server contains the following :

    # There could be passwords in these files. PowerDNS first reads the
    # configuration files and then drop root privileges.
    chmod 0600 $PDNSCONF $PDNSLOCAL
    chmod 0700 $PDNSDIR

There could be passwords, or perhaps there aren't any. In any case, it
is not appropriate for the script to change the permissions on every
upgrade. Please do the `chmod' for initial installs only and leave the
permissions as is for upgrades.

Cheers,

Laurent.
