Hi,

this is fixed with the upload of 1.5-6.2 (patch by Roger,
uploaded by me after $enough time with no maintainer
activity).

Pere: sysklogd has its uses – it’s much lighter, and rsyslogd
does not work on all architectures. (The maintainer and I have
been unable to debug the problem on m68k.) In fact, my personal
requirements of a syslog dæmon are that it logs “stuff” (both
from the kernel and userspace) to /var/log/messages period.
Even sysklogd is a tad fat for that ☺ But you know the saying,
never touch a running system…

Feel free to merge this with #633038.

bye,
//mirabilos
