Package: abiword
Version: 2.2.7-3
Severity: normal
When one particular MS Word ".doc" file is opened in
Abiword, then the command to print it is given,
Abiword exits with the single word "Abort" printed on
the Xterm from which Abiword was started.
The file opened was named "abiwordbug.doc".
After the crash, a new file named "abiwordbug.doc.SAVED"
is in the directory where "abiwordbug.doc" was found,
in addition to the original, which is unchanged.
If I start Abiword again and open the file "abiwordbug.doc.SAVED"
it looks the same on the screen as the original file.
Now if I attempt to print this file, Abiword hangs, and has
to be "killed" with a kill command from another xterm.
Other files, including other MSWord .doc files print from
Abiword without error.
I will paste in the "abiwordbug.doc.SAVED" file at the end
of this bug report, since it is pure text. But it has very
long lines, so if it doesn't make it through the email system
unchanged, I will send a follow-up to this report with both
files encoded.
