the /etc/apt-cacher-ng/backends_ubuntu file is empty and computers using ubuntu
receives 404 error on apt-get update
putting a correct url in the file fixs the problem (e.g.
http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/)
I think the mistake is in the configuration file at the line :
Remap-uburep: file:ubuntu_mirrors /ubuntu ; file:backends_ubuntu

Not a mistake in that line. There is a fallback version of this file
(see backends_ubuntu.default) but it was buggy in your version.
