Package: ardour
Version: 1:2.8.11-5
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

Ardour 3 alpha was released some time ago: http://ardour.org/node/4293. Since
it brings really major improvements (MIDI support in particular), it would be
nice if you could package it in experimental.

Thanks!

Hi,

Hi!

I don't think that's a wise idea, since it's a fast developing beta
status software which can be tested via the ready-to-run packages from
ardour.org or svn.

It's an old bug. Obviously, we never uploaded anything, and upstream has
made it quite clear that it's too early to package a3.

That said, we're not going to provide any a3 pre-release for the
foreseeable future. Instead, users should go for the upstream package
that has debugging enabled, so bugs can be traced and removed.

I'm closing the bug.

Cheers
