Package: dbus
Version: 1.4.18-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
Since upgrade from 1.4.16-1 to 1.4.18-1 daemon.log is filled with dbus-daemon-
launch-helper errors like:
Feb 15 09:53:54 andalu dbus[18450]: [system] Activating service
name='org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit' (using servicehelper)
Feb 15 09:53:54 andalu dbus[18450]: [system] Activated service
'org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit' failed: Failed to execute program
/usr/lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper: Succes

All dbus related services (Network Manager, Upower etc) seem affected; in KDE
such services are totally unavailable.
I tried to revert to wheezy version or jump to experimental one with no
changes.
I'm totally sure that dbus upgrade is to blame, but according to personal
memory and apt log no other relevant package has been upgraded before dbus
services break.
Any other hints on how to investigate the issue?

Thanks, closing the bug.

I'm not sure that that'd be sufficiently useful to justify it: the more
work a postinst does, the slower everyone's upgrades will be, and the
more likely it'll be that there's a bug in the postinst.

Some sort of sanity-check hooked into reportbug might be useful, though.
