Package: w3c-markup-validator
Version: 0.7.4-4
Severity: normal
Hi,
The W3C Markup Validator installed by this package doesn't accept HTTPS
URLs out-of-the-box (invalid scheme), even though the default configuration
file (/etc/w3c/validator.conf) contains:
<Protocols>
Allow = data,http,https
</Protocols>
The package libcrypt-ssleay-perl has to be installed to make the
validator accept HTTPS URLs.
I think there are two options for a solution:
1. Add libcrypt-ssleay-perl as dependency of w3c-markup-validator or
2. remove "https" as allowed protocol in the default configuration file
(/etc/w3c/validator.conf) and add libcrypt-ssleay-perl as
recommended package.
Regards,
Durk
