Hello there,
trying to set up some monitoring as mentioned in
http://ceph.newdream.net/wiki/Perfomance_counters
I noticed that ceph doesn't seem to create the default directory holding
its UNIX domain sockets, and consequently creating these sockets fails:

Furthermore, /var/run by default is a tmpfs on current Debian, and thus any
subdirectories of it need to get recreated after reboot. Please include
such functionality in the initscript.
As Debian recently migrated to /run (in place of /var/run, with the
latter now being a symlink to the former), creating that directory
directly in /run may be the way to go.
