Severity: important

Backuppc does not work if you move datadir as described in
/usr/share/doc/backuppc/README.Debian file. The error I get is:
mkdir /var/lib/backuppc: File exists at /usr/share/backuppc/bin/BackupPC
line 1730

(And I did not find a way to bypass it). I have moved the datadir to
/storage directory and created a symlink to it.
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 18 Jun  3 20:58 /var/lib/backuppc -> /storage/backuppc/

What can I do to make it work again (I need it on storage mount point
since that is where all the backups are kept and /var fills up too fast.
